Fill flash writting

Fill flash is a photography technique that is used to flash a supplement with the existing light in a scene.  Fill flash is called like that cause it fills in the shadows or dark areas in a scene. You would use fill flash when you need to get the perfect exposure on the subject and background. For example when your subject is backlit, to lighten shadows and add detail to darker areas without overexposing highlights, add catchlights to your subject’s eyes, and etc.

Bounced flash my favorite teacher

Mrs. Thomas used to be earth science teacher in my second year of high school. She is the cheer captain coach for our school. Mrs. Thomas has awesome taste in music as well. Something interesting about her is, she likes to wear classy outfits.

The reason why I like Mrs. Thomas is because she is an outgoing person with a positive attitude towards anything. As a cheer coach and teacher takes a big toll on her and is quite the challenge. What I also like about her is she can balance her life which inspires me too.

I am very thankful for Mrs. Thomas, she has her downs and up’s but she has taught me some skillful learning things. Her spirit is very bright and she know how to get along with other people/students easily.

WHAT EVERY BEGINNER NEEDS TO KNOW

  1. Setting the exposure using the histogram: It shows you the black to gray to white tones of your picture in a vertical range. The technology recognizes the tonal levels of areas within the image, according to the number of pixels for each black, gray or white tone.
  2.  RAW: Shooting in Raw format gives you access to the full capabilities of your camera. Not all the information that should be present.
  3. Selecting focusing points manually: When using a camera, the option for selecting the autofocus points for you, but it is not correctly true. Learning AF points manually will benefit you, improving accuracy and reduce chances of missing important shots.
  4. Learning AF modes: Its autofocus mode, the one shot mode that will stop refocusing once its locked onto the subject. It also detects movement in the frame.
  5. Aperture priority: It helps the camera have a variety of exposures depending on the aperture value you set it in. Gives you complete control over aperture means control over depth of field.
  6. Shutter priority: It works almost like the aperture prioity. It gives you complete control over shutter speed while making all the other settings automatic Alling according to the selected value.
  7. Control Motion Blur: It comes from the shutter speed. When its too slow for holding the camera in your hands.
  8. Manual White Balance: Camera counters dominant hue with its opposite color temperature. All in digital cameras have few white balance.
  9. Drives Modes: In drive shot there is several of modes such as: single shot, continuous low and continuous high. Allows you to shoot one frame at a time.
  10. ISO: Depends on the lighting conditions. It lower values and art great when there is plenty of light to work with.
  11.  Auto ISO: Helps you when you are shooting hand held. It increases and decreases the value of the order to allow you to shoot with shutter speed fast enough for hand held operations.
  12.  Exposure compensation: A scale that will tell your camera to increase or decrease exposure.
  13. Manual exposure:  Manual control is controlling every little setting on your camera. Thats how you can finally say you’re a real photographer.

HDR in photography

HDR photography is when you capture several images of the same scene but with different exposure settings to cover the entire tonal range.  Ways to successfully capture HDR.

  1. Adjust your camera settings. Place your camera on a tripod and manually set the aperture to your desired level.
  2. Take photos using bracketing. Exposure bracketing involves taking a photo at each exposure value (EV) available on your camera, which are represented as stops.
  3. Edit the photos.
